HERITAGE OPEN DAYS – 11th to 20th September
September 11, 9:30 am - 5:00 pm
We participate in the national event where the church is open to visitors. Visitors are attracted by the stunning Victorian gothic architecture, especially the stone vaulting by the renowned architect, John Loughborough Pearson (1817 – 1897). See also historic stained glass by Charles Eamer Kempe(1837 – 1907) and the Baptistry windows by Leonard Charles Evetts (1909 – 1997). Also of note is the famous organ by Thomas Christopher Lewis (1833-1915). During the period of Heritage Open Days there will be display boards in the church highlighting these features.
