The Friends of St George's
The Friends of the Parish Church of Saint George, Cullercoats is a Registered Charity with the stated object "to beautify and assist in the maintenance of the parish church of Saint George, Cullercoats in the Diocese of Newcastle and to preserve St. George’s as an outstanding Grade 1 listed building by the renowned architect John Loughborough Pearson dedicated in 1884".
If you believe that the presence of St George’s is of importance and value to the local or wider community, why not become a Friend? As well as helping to support St George's and its fabric, you can take advantage of a range of cultural and social events.
We organise a variety of social and cultural fund-raising events most of which are open to the public. The profit from these, together with the subscription and donations, will be used to support a variety of projects that benefit St George’s.
You can see the full list on the Events page.
We are also looking forward to welcoming the Royal Northern Sinfonia back to St George's, as well as a variety of talks arranged in conjuction with Cullercoats Local History Society.
