The Friends of St George's
The Friends of the Parish Church of Saint George, Cullercoats is a Registered Charity with the stated object "to beautify and assist in the maintenance of the parish church of Saint George, Cullercoats in the Diocese of Newcastle and to preserve St. George’s as an outstanding Grade 1 listed building by the renowned architect John Loughborough Pearson dedicated in 1884".
What we do
The aim of the Friends is to support St George's by raising funds through events and donations, which are used to support the upkeep of the church building and its associated facilities. And we also have great fun at the same time!

Upcoming Events
We organise a variety of social and cultural fund-raising events most of which are open to the public. The profit from these, together with the subscription and donations, will be used to support a variety of projects that benefit St George’s.

We are also looking forward to welcoming the Royal Northern Sinfonia back to St George's, as well as a variety of talks arranged in conjuction with Cullercoats Local History Society.
